We recently stayed at Villa Riis for a relaxing getaway. The staff, especially Daisy, were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They made us feel right at home and provided us with great local recommendations. The location of the hotel is superb, offering stunning views. The old baroque charm of the hotel added to the unique atmosphere. we had a wonderful experience at Villa Riis.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Great location, great views from room
Room had not been serviced properly, no bath towel one day, hairdrier broken. Was fixed but should not have had to ask. Also no instructions for room safe till I asked.

The location was perfect. Both proximity to Corso Umberto as well as the increadible view from the rooms and especially from the pool area.
The staff were substandard for a 4 star hotel. They were not rude however were not skilled in customer service. The hotel itself was extremely run down and likly not a penny had gone into it for some time with the pool area being particularly dangerous including metal rusty spikes where vases used to be and an overflow with colapsed under me when I stood on it. The path down to the pool area was dirty and unmaintained. the bedrooms were functional and clean however the bathrooms were tiny and needed rennovating.

Great location with stunning views of the sea and mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious with a range of options to choose from. The pool was clean and inviting, perfect for a dip during a warm New Year's Day.
The room we stayed in was quite small and lacked some finishing touches. We also experienced some noise from other guests which disturbed our sleep a few times. However, overall we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the hotel's amenities.

The hotel sits perched on a cliff, offering a truly unique and picturesque setting. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The service was top-notch, with room service available 24 hours a day. The room amenities were excellent, including heating and air conditioning, a mini-bar, and a balcony with a sitting area. The breakfast had a variety of cereals and yogurts to choose from, and the location was near the main shopping street with many restaurants to eat at. the view from the hotel was absolutely stunning and the staff was very nice and always willing to help.
The room was very outdated and needed renovation, and the shower was extremely tiny. We did not have hot water for two of our three nights, and the staff did not seem to care.

The room at Hotel Villa Riis was absolutely gorgeous. I felt like a queen in the beautifully renovated Empire style setting. The balcony with a breathtaking view of Mount Etna and the sea was the highlight of my stay. It truly made me feel like I was in paradise. The room had all the amenities I needed, including a minibar, hairdryer, safe, and air conditioning. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and pampered throughout my entire stay.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the shower/tub combination in the private bathroom. But hey, that's just my preference, and I'm sure others might find it perfectly fine.

The location of this hotel is mind-blowing, with stunning water views and close proximity to the main shopping area. The staff here are super welcoming and helpful, making you feel right at home.
The rooms, although a bit dated, are still charming and offer beautiful terraces or balconies with amazing views. The cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms is top-notch, thanks to the hardworking housekeeping staff.
